"I gave my class a picture of feet on a diving board. They used their senses to describe the moment as an Olympic diver."

" My class used the athlete bios pdf's (nz Olympic website) last week to highlight the keywords, list adjectives & verbs with sticky notes, then write our own descriptions. We followed this up with paraphrasing. Read a paragraph from the bio a couple of times then close it, record retell of paragraph then write from the recording."

Featured Essential Oil (to help combat the lack of deodorant use!!)

Geranium oil (Pelargonium graveolens) is a beautiful, floral essential oil often referred to as "the poor man's rose oil" for its similar properties and uses. It's sweet, rose-like aroma is long-lasting and potent. You need only a small amount or you'll smell it for days.

2016 Theme: Be the Change
Be the Change
Be the Change

Think about the impact you can have on your community, and ultimately the world. If you could do one thing to make the world a better place, what would it be? How would you inspire others to help make that change a reality?
Students from around Christchurch gathered for a workshop to determine the theme for this year's competition. We think they did a great job! The challenge is now for you to create digital masterpieces that demonstrate how you can “Be the Change”.
